Recommend Winter Camping (RV) locations in Galveston/Houston Area? We are camping in our RV in the Galveston/Houston area over the holidays this year. While we have reservations at the State Park, we will not be staying there the whole time. We do not mind paying a lot per evening, cost is not a major factor. Does anyone have any good recommendations for places to stay? And, as a bonus, any recommendations for sights to see?

the ridiculousness of "camping" in a RV? I think that camping in a RV is not only self defeating in the principle of going outdoors, but socially irresponible (2 mpg). Who thinks "camping" in national parks with RVs should be made illeagle?

Should Yahoo Answers have seperate categories for RV camping & tent camping? There's such a vast difference between what RV/Trailer camping people ask and what Backpackers and Tent Camping people ask, I think Yahoo should make two, even three categories. (I'd have backpacking a seperate category as well.) If Curling has it's own category in Winter Sports (and I can't think that more people hurl stones on ice than either RV or tent camp), then I think there should be some seperation among the various kinds of camping. Who else agrees? Yeah...I didn't think of the band camp category. There was way too many "Summer Camp" questions this year. I think the US questions should be seperate from UK questions about everything...not just camping. There are fewer questions in the list now due to the fact that most people in the N. Hemisphere don't think about camping in Nov....wait until June and July. You'll see the "What should I take camping?" question get posted four times in one week. While I agree that Backpacking is completely different, I rarely see backpacking specific questions. Not enough to warrant it's own category.
