- do you have to hear to play sports? doubtful
- There are lots and lots of games out there for deaf people. There is Dingo (deaf bingo.) the numbers and letters are signed instead of spoken. In my sign language class, we played a game called "elephant, giraffe" here is how you play. 1.The kids all stand in a circle. 2. The person in charge stands in the center. 3. The person in charge points to a person and signs either Giraffe or Elephant. 4. The person they pointed to either signs the trunk or the long neck, depending on what the person in charge signed. 5. The person to the right of the "elephant" or "Giraffe" would put their left hand next to the person's head for elephant's ear or in a fist to the "giraffe's" side for the long leg. 6. If someone messes up, they're out! The game doesn't have an actual winner because you can't have three people playing the game, you run out of options! -Another thing would be to play a game where the deaf children would learn some new vocabulary words. I know that the deaf people that I know have a very low vocabulary and aren't very good at spelling, so you could make it fun for them to learn new words and spelling, although i don't have any fun games for that. You may want to check a teaching website for fun ideas in spelling and vocabulary!
