what are some good ideas for flag raising activities at camp?

I'm looking for some good ideas to use for a 5-10 minute flag raising each morning at the camp where I'm working. Traditionally we've always sang songs and said the pledges, so it would be nice to get some good creative ideas. Any serious help would be much appreciated.

1. Have a short story to do with flag patriotism. A few include how the "Star Spangled Banner" was written, High light when stars were added (pictures help to see designs with flags), speeches like Gettysburg Address & D-Day Order (one of my favorites). Check usflag.org for ideas. I love our flag & all it stands for.
2. Icebreaker games, like the orange or M&M game. Planting flowers someplace nearby or around the flagpole Learning the same songs in Sign Language We also used that same time for awards ceremonies, ie "The best sports player this week goes to...." I think we also taught the location of a new country everyday, and someone prepared a little spiel about it (just 3-5minutes) Good luck!
