can you give me possible activities for environmental camp suitable for youths?

- Building temporary shelters is always very popular with the kids. Learning how to stay warm and safe. What to do when lost (don't wander, yell lots). Identifiying poison oak.
- Here are some ideas we did at our camp in the Pacific Northwest? buiding fires without matches (depending on age), temporary shelters, a water purification activity, reflection time(time where they sit individually to reflect/diary time) some survival training(if you are lost, what you do), animal impersonation(haha ie. you are a chipmunk, try to eat peanuts without using thumbs, chipmunks dont have them), animal hunt (log how many animals you can find), replanting trees in areas where needed, did a water-oil presentation showing the affects when a spill happens, and, of course, numerous art activities using pine cones, leaves, flowers etc. Hope this helps.....
