  1. capture the flag in like a forest or something thats hella fun
  2. ha orogami something fun and challenging build offs like constructing the best tower out of 3 sheets of paper and tape team games are probably the best way to go
  3. give them all "noodles" you know from like the swimming pool...and then put paper hats on them and have a team sword fight and the objective is to knock the other teams hats off =D
  4. well there's freeze tag, kickball, you can do embroidery thread bracelets which for instructions on that i'm sure you can google it. Then for when the counselors need a break there's graveyard (not to be confused with ghost in the graveyard which was like hide and seek/tag at night) In graveyard you have all the kids lay down and they cant move and the conselors patrol the "graveyard" and when the kids move they're out. some of the younger kids actually can fall asleep (I was a summer camp counselor for 3 years and we had kids 6-12) For the kids that aren't athletic there's card games such as spit, slapjack, uno is always a good one because those games can go on forever. I think that's all I can think of off the top of my head. hope this was helpful
  5. Without knowing what age group you're working with, here are some suggestions that may help: 1. Capture the Flag 2. Obstacle courses 3. Team treasure hunts 4. The parachute game (get a big parachute and have them all hold onto part of it, standing in a circle. Then, yell out instructions for them, like, "Run to the right!" or "Tug of war!" or "Toss the parachute up without letting go, take 2 quick steps in, then pull your part of the parachute behind you and sit on it!" - this last one makes a little "bubble" for them to sit in and kids get a KICK out of it) 5. Why not make a series of team-oriented games? Each game would award points to the winning team and then at the end of the series, obviously the team with the most wins/points would win a trophy or something. These games could include any of my above suggestions as well as one where they have to race each other to pitch a tent (hey, it's camping related!), put on a show, etc. Sounds like a fun job - GOOD LUCK!
