  1. capture the flag is a fun classic and you only need 2 rags to play. That game is just a relay race except you can't walk straight. Don't do it if you don't want vomit.
  2. kick the can hide and seek horse shoes Required: Shower curtains from the dollar store Players: Small to large groups Game of the Month 12/02 Set up teams of 8 to 12 players. Each team will be given one shower curtain as a magic carpet and all team members will be standing on it. You start out the game by telling teams the following: You are on a magic carpet, up in the sky. You’ve discovered that you’re not going anywhere because your carpet is upside down. The object is to flip the carpet back upright without anyone stepping off into the abyss. You may use your hands. The team that reverses its carpet first without anyone stepping off is the winner. Submitted by Merrily, Mary Nolte and Dizzy Basketball Required: Basketballs, basketball hoop and baseball bats Players: Small to medium groups Divide up players into teams. Give each team one basketball and one baseball bat. One player at a time from each team will go to their baseball bat, bend over, put their head on the end bat and circle it 5 times while in this position (They should be vary dizzy at this point). Then they will go pick up their basketball dribble down to the hoop and shoot a basket with the ball. Once they have done this they return the ball to it’s position by the bat and tag the next player on the team to do the same. The first team done completing this rotation is the winner.
  3. -obstacle course -scavenger hunt -canoe races -ping pong (if you have the set up) -frisbee -slip n slide -50 mile club (every day they run a trail and add the miles at the end of the week) you can put your own limits on it -dance off (two people compete at dancing until one is left to win) -skits can be competitive if they vote on which is best -chess (you could even hold a tournament) -best poem about camp; everyone gets one vote -all the usual awards: best campsite/tent, happiest camper, most friendly, etc... -follow the trail signs; have someone make trail markers and teach them how to read them, whoever gets to the end of the trail first wins, or send them in small groups and time them, best time wins. You'll have to walk the trail again to make sure each group does not mess with the trail markers each time. -----> <----- there are some really basic stone pile formations and arrows, etc.. that they should learn. Have fun!
  4. go around in a circle and everyone is only aloud to say one word, and you have to try and make a story. Its fun to see what ppl comeup with. I play this with my family when we go camping. Make sure you write it down as you go though
  5. Red Rover make 2 line parallel to facing one another then you hold hands and yell for one or the other teams players by saying "red rover red rover send Joe right over" that person runs for your team and tries to break the link between players if not he stays with you and it's the other teams turn Or he breaks threw and takes one of your team members back to his side and it's their turn always take turns. be careful shoulders can be popped out of joint. But I love this game one of my favorite ones! Have Fun
