2. go camping in point reyes national seashore, its just above san fran and its great. you can camp on the beach if you want and they will love it. they can hike and learn, its perfect. its where the north american and pacific plates come together and was the epicienter of the 1906 earthquake. the different areas of the park are all different, one is super cold, the next is warm, you will be amazed with the differences and it is so full of history your whole family will love the adventure.
