Camping with 6 year old in St Ives-What activities are there down there?
We haven't been here before and are going on Saturday. Was wondering what attractions there are? The St Ives website wasn't very useful.

- camping, counting grass, hide and seek, cooking in camping gear, knots, visiting local places, seeing new things, waking up with the dawn, being with family, what else do you need?
- Not a lot in St Ives I'm afraid just come back from there but plenty in the surrounding area .The camp site we stayed on had loads of information leaflets to give us on our arrival. good luck but we had great time with our kids.
- I live there.....not alot in St Ives but there is Moors Valley Country Park just round the corner (loads to do there) there is Bournemouth beach and all the attractions there, If you drive into Bournemouth there is Littledown Leisure center...lots to do and good for rainy day.....Email me if you want anymore ideas xx
- Take a kite, go fishing, hire a boat, swim, surf, wow, I wish I was going. Avoid holiday romances http://www.guardian.co.uk/aids/story/0,,1768853,00.html
- If you mean St.Ives in Cornwall then there are a lot of attractions for a 6 year old within reasonable distance. There's paradise park (small zoo) near Hayle (next to St.Ives). There's Merlins (small childrens rides). There's a few attractions at Lands End which is bout 30 mins away. Flambards Village & Theme Park near Helston is a good day out (approx 45 mins away). And of course there are lots of small harbours / beaches nearby.
