1. I would suggest simple, easy to pack card games like Skip-Bo, Uno and the like. You can also play dice games, strategy games like chinese checkers, chess, checkers. Word games like Boggle are also highly portable and easy to play just about anywhere.
2. horeshoes or lawn darts or fun. But if ya want somethin a little more laid back, get yourself a few boxes of trivial pursuit queastions that always works.
3. hide and seek and snipe hunting tell someone that your tryin to catch a snipe and everyone takes a bag out in the woods or somewhere in the middle of nowhere and sit there for a minute then get everyone to leave except one person one time we got someone to sit out there for the whole night! by the way there aint no such thing as SNIPES! hahahahahaha
4. What you can do so that it takes absolutely no weight at all is draw a checker board on the floor of your tent and one person uses rocks, and the other uses leaves. In the car you can play regular car games. Snipe hunting is mean, but you forgot that they have to pour toothpaste in their pillow case to attract the Snipes.
