- If your child is a male try Camp Shohola for Boys their website is http://www.shohola.com they're a great camp that has been around since 1941. This camp is an overnight camp offering 2 one month sessions or 4 two week sessions. They're offering reduced rates for their second month and even offer financial assistance on top of that. They are located in NE Pennsylvania which is only a couple of hours from DC. The camp has a bus which picks up many kids from the DC area and brings them to camp. If you have a girl of that didn't help you can always try searching The American Camping Association website at http://www.acacamps.com you can search by location and price
- A lot of individual camps will offer "Camperships" or scholorships for kids to attend when cost is a problem. So you can pick your camp based on qualities that are important besides cost. Check out the ACA (american camping association) website. They will let you look at all the registered day camps in your area. Good luck!
