Going camping/canoeing I need new ideas...?
I am going camping and canoeing and usually i take lunchables on the canoe with me to eat, but does anyone have any other good ideas of what i could take on a canoe so that if it gets soaked it wont be ruined... I have taken sanwiches before and they ended up soggy...

- when I went white water rafting,, we took sandwich makings in individual Ziploc bags( we doubled them with freezer bags ) then put slices of bread also in separate bags,, ( we again double bagged them)then put all of them in one of those water proof bags and tied it to the raft,, it worked quite well ( we always hoarded those condiment packets from fast food,, mayo and mustard we also threw those in the bag too ) Dunno if this will work for you,, it has worked for me ... Good luck
- you can take bags of chips. also candy in like bags and stuff. there are sandwiches that come in bags all prept up ( you can buy them at the 7-11)HOPE YOU HAVE FUN!
- you could always put the sandwiches in storage ziploc bag. it will keep them dry. slimfasts work well also. if you are just out for lunch. they fill you up and they wont get soggy.
- If you know someone that has a food saver you can seal the sandwich. Then just bring a pocket knife to open. Fruit apples, oranges, bananas, grapes
- mre's they are military meals. That are water proof and the have a whole meal in them. They are about an inch depth 5 " wide and maybe 9" tall. You can store them anywhere. They don't need refrigeration. They have serve different type. Check your local sporting goods store .
