- the outback is not a good place to go camping if you don't know what you are doing everything you buy in towns out bush will be dear water is not plentifully either & if you are camping in the buss dog's are fine natnional parks may have restrictions on pets
- Hire "WOLF CREEK" never hitchike
- if u dont know the aussie outback then DONT DO IT without a tour guide! its long open miles of nothingness between each town and if you get lost or your car breaks down it can be weeks before someone drives past to help you! Oz isnt some tiny little place the outback is huge, dangerous, and hot hot hot! trust me ive done many a tour and if youre not willing to pay the cash for a proper tour than you should just stick to the coastline
- Got friends camping up at St.Helens at the moment,,its not what you would call outback though,,its about an hour from Mackay, north up near Proserpine,,they reckon its really beautiful there. I think they said its about $10 a night and there are hot showers and toilet ammenities,,dont know about dogs though. If you really know nothing about the outback stay away from it,,its very, very dangerous, stay along the coast. Hope you have a great time,,cheers !
