  1. Ramen noodles are easy and cheap, hot dogs, sandwichs.Make some chili or spagetti before you go and heat it over the campfire
  2. Cambodian Breast Milk will make a good drink.
  3. hot dogs on sticks
  4. meals ready to eat MRES
  5. Military MREs (Meal Ready To Eat), they need no refrigeration and are just yummy, try a couple different ones andsee what you like, there is an amazing variety of meals available. It's alomost like going to a restaurant without leaving your tent. Our family packs in about ten miles where we camp so being able to carry a lot of good food with you is important.
  6. gourmet mountain pies- cook up a steak and chop it up then put it in a mixture of fried onions and peppers with cheese, its quick and tastes amazing
  7. bag omlets! just get the double thick freezer ziplock bags and eggs and other omlet stuff crack the eggs in the bag add the other stuff, mush and put the bag in a hot pot of water banana boats - take a banana still in peal. put a slit in the banana long ways then stuff the slit with herseys chocolet and marshmellows, wrap it in foil and put in it fire for few minutes and eat with spoon
  8. You can't go wrong with mac and cheese. It's a crowd pleaser and easy. All you need is butter, cheese, and pasta, or bring the boxed kind. I'm not a big hot dog fan, but cooking them over an open fire if you have one is a classic. Um, quesadillas are fun and can have custom fillings for picky and adventurous eaters.
  9. granola bars or some mixed fruits, nuts & pretzels for snacking lots of Gatorade and water, but don't forget the coffee tuna fish with crakers and cheese, chilli-cheese dogs, fresh fruit, soup and french bread, PBJ's and other throw together foods if you want to get fancy make up some breakfast burrito filling (eggs, sausage, onions, peppers and tomatos) and bring along the cheese, salsa and tortillas for a build your own meal my favorite . . . kabobs - as a kid these were always jumbled in a "foil bowl" and thrown on the coals for about 15-20 minutes instead of on skewers that way they could be personalizied and dumped on a plate for easy eating (fully cooked summer sausage, pinapple chunks, chopped onions and green peppers and canned potatos halved) the best for last desert . . . dump cake - in a dutch oven layer a yellow cake mix, squeze butter, cherry pie filling and crushed pinapple with a little of the juice place in the coals with the lid on and shovel some hot coals on the lid for even cooking try Reeces Peanut Butter Cups with your s'mores, that's my husband's favorite treat
  10. Anything on the grill: burgers, steaks, pork chops, hot dogs, corn on the cob wrapped in foil, baked potatoes. All you have to do is turn the food occasionally to keep it from burning.
  11. Chili, soup, stew, burgers and hot dogs, sandwiches, cereal, oatmeal, tuna and crackers, beef jerky, trail mix all can make an easy but filling meal, carry some apples and grapes or bananas for snacks
  12. Curry Couscous (Low Sodium/Vegetarian): 3/4 cup couscous 2 Tbl. coconut cream powder 2 Tbl. dried veggie flakes or freeze dried vegetables 2 Tsp. curry powder (if you aren't used to curry, you can use less) 1/2 Tsp. ginger powder Put all items in a quart freezer bag. In camp add 1 1/4 cups boiling water, stir well, seal and put in a cozy for 5-10 minutes. Stir and enjoy. I like adding a 3 oz. can of chicken, some chopped unsalted peanuts (carry in a ziploc snack bag) and even some coconut (use snack bags). Serves 1 or 2 if you add a can or pouch of chicken to the meal.
