  1. obey your orders
  2. try to have fun there. I know it will probably suck but there isnt much you can do. And dont be a smart-as*. What did u do to deserve boot camp?
  3. Do as your told, when you are told. Try not to be noticed by the DI's (for good or bad reasons). Be average and proper, and you will make it. Remember, it is all just a game. thousands of people, some better than you and some worse, made it. If they did, you can too. HOOAH
  4. Navy boot camp today is easier when i went to 7 yrs ago. All you have to do is just follow what they say study for the test and keep in shape. You will need it on your last week of training when you guys go for battle stations.
  5. Act like a Ghost. The easiest way to get thru boot, is to be invisible.
  6. How dramatic. Just do exactly what you are told to do and you will be fine.
  7. it,s a cake walk don,t sweat it
  8. Don't survive- excel. This is probably your first real opportunity to be excellent. Utilize it fully. The hardest part is the sleep schedule. Don't let it drag you down, realize that two months is not eternity and keep your head up. Do what you are told, when you are told. If you get corrected, learn from it and don't take it personally. Keep your rack and your gear squared away, your uniform 4.0, and your knowledge at the highest level. Show these guys you are here to be an asset to the US Navy. Show the sailors who volunteered to train you respect. They have earned it. Learn their correct titles and use them every time. Salute officers correctly and sharply, with pride. I imagined every officer I saluted to be my grandpa, an LT from WWII long since passed. Serve your country with pride. Good luck and God bless. You are joining a proud tradition of good men and women protecting the seas from our country's enemies.
