  1. Well i havent played softball in a while, but i do run cross country. The thing that these two sports share in common is that they are TEAM sports. My tip for you is to be as social as possible, meet as many people as possible, and try not to have any beefs with anyone. Why would you want to play on a softball team with people you dont like, or people who dont like you? Show a positive attitude, whether you're catching those pop flies or not, and you're bound to get noticed by the coaches and other potential players. In addition, ask questions!! Ask as many questions as you need to, it may sound dumb but people will see that you actually care about the sport and want to learn as much as possible. Helping to pick up the bases or retrieve the balls from the outfield after practice should up your brownie points with the coaches as well. Good luck, or as we say in cross country "G'luck" and i hope this helps you make the team.
  2. just have fun and play as if no one is watching you... be as relaxed as possible. i had a spring league coach who would intimidate us and the whole team would be nervous before play, making us tense. obviously, playing tense affects your gameplay negatively. also, show how bad you want to be on that team. dive, slide, stop everything that comes to you. just be confident and i'm sure you'll make that team. Good Luck!!!
  3. umm, i play high school ball. the only advice i really have is to play hard. work you ass off. the coaches don't want sucking up they don't want the most social person, they wan't someone who will bust there ass to win a game. they want someone who will sacrifice there body to play. work as hard as you possibly can to get better. pay close attention to what they say, and try to improve. don't be afraid to get dirty. if you have to dive, lay yourself out and do your best to make the play. dedicate yourself 100 percent to making plays, if you are better than some of your team mates, help them. if someone is better than you and tries to help acept it. just play hard and you should be fine. But most important is to just have fun. remember it's just a game. and it's not worth it if it isn't fun. have fun and GOOD LUCK!!!
