Job duties of a Summer camp counselor?
Job duties of a camp counselor at a Summer Day Camp? I'm interested in working at any summer day camp as a camp counselor in NYC. I've never done it before. What are the job duties of a camp counselor? Would I have to come up with my own ideas for activities or is everything already planned out? Do I have to be familiar with sports (the only sport I know is swimming). Is the work tough at all (do the kids generally listen)? I'm thinking of going into teaching & think that this may help me get comfortable working with kids. What's the general pay? Please give me as much info. as you can. Thanks in advance.

- It would help if you had been a camper there. Usually camp counselors are former campers. All camps are different, so I can't be more helpful.
