  1. I would not send my child to a camp run by a 15 yr old period especially ones that can't drive if there's an emergency especially since there's only 2 people and both are teenagers NOT HAPPENING do you really think that 2 teens can care for 15 children NOT HAPPENING I dont care how responsible you are and how much babysitting experience you have no way in hell would i leave my child with you in a day camp setting
  2. I have to agree with Squeaker on this. First, you need to find an adult who can help. Then, maybe you can consider having a summer day camp for kids. But, as a parent, I still don't think I would want my kids to attend.
  3. 15 kids in one group being supervised by two teenagers? I take it that neither you, nor your friend, have a First Aid Certificate, or any rudimentary practical expertise when handling small children who have been placed in an unfamiliar environment. Do you have any idea as to the work load that will be required? I would strongly advise you to go to a Day Care Center and just watch how hard it is even for the qualified trained and experienced professionals to cope with a large group of small children. I commend your initiative, but baby sitting and 'toddler taming' are two totally different things. Adult supervision and management are a priority when looking after pre-school aged children, especially when they belong to others. The last thing that you and your friend need is 'on the job training'. I would suggest that you both do some volunteer work in order to acquaint yourselves with the realities involved with being a carer: feeding, washing, toileting/changing nappies, personal hygiene, etc, etc, and etc.
  4. Ok, I totally agree with squeaker, and I'm only 13. You could help at a day camp somewhere like I do. I work at River Camp on the San Joaquin river in the summer and I'll get to be a junior counselor this summer.
