Camping Out Ideas

What is a good RV CAMPING spot on the OCEAN in FLORIDA??

Public Comments

  1. I live in Broward County on the Atlantic ocean, and youre not going to find good RV spots on the east coast, I would look at the gulf coast along the St.Petersburg area.
  2. If you don't mind state parks, I love them, there are several that I have personal experiance with and wouldn't hesitate recommending. First is Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreational Area, just South of Flagler Beach on Highway A1A. Fantastic camping along the beach. If you get the right spots, you step out of your site and onto the beach. Next is Sebastian Inlet State Recreation Area at Sebastian Inlet on A1A. This is actually across the highway from the beach, but most sites are on the water. Then, in the keys is Bahia Honda State Park just North of Big Pine Key. Just North of this park is a commercial park called Encore Super Park RV Park. My favorite is St. Joseph Peninsula State Park just West of Apalachicola. This park is a wonder on a long peninsula, jutting out into the Gulf of Mexico. All camp sites are just across the dunes from wonderful white sand. Reservations for state park campgrounds may be made online at www.reserveamerica.com. Senior citizens from Florida, Georgia & Mississippi get a senior discount of one half price. There are so many near beach campgrounds in FloridaI have only covered ones I have visited and enjoyed. Good luck & Happy Camping Additional thoughts: I skipped St. Andrews State Park on purpose, this was my sisters favorite hangout until I told her of St. Josephs. Injun, give it a try and you'll never go back to St. Andrews. Along A1A, South of Flagler beach are several commercial campgrounds, none as nice as Gamble Rogers.
  3. www.abfla.com/parks/StAndrews/standrews One of the most popular outdoor recreation spots in Florida, this 1,260 acre park is located on a scenic peninsula and is well known for its sugar white sands. I reccomend this state park go there often but sites are bay view only!
  4. there are probably are some up on some parts of the east coast...but i sure wouldn't look in south florida...there are 0 spots....
