  1. what state are you in??
  2. why are girls going camping try a sleepover
  3. yea... thats a big one... I live in Washington state... so we have a camping ground around every corner. suualy we just go find a place in the woods though.... but I wouldnt suggest doing that with a group of girls... especialy if they dont know what they're doing!!!!!! I would just get on the phone with your local parks and recreations and ask for the locations of some camp sites. check them out and pick from there. camping gear can get kind of pricey? is everyone bringing heir own stuff? how long are you going one night, two? how old are the girls? are they going to have their own gear? are you going to have enough to eat?? have fun and good luck!
  4. activities; have them involved in teams to make a meal or desert tie die tshirts sports a nature hunt for a list of things ghost stories with samores sing a longs making things from nature, a leaf collage, collecting stones, etc making throws with old clothes, sewing some good food ideas; egg skillet with whatever you like is easy over the fire (if you want potatoes, start with those first as they take the longest along with sausage) pancakes that come in the shake bottle oatmeal sandwiches fruit veggies stew hotdogs, burgers, corn on the cob, baked potato dessert apple cobbler samores apple sauce with cinnamin heated (chunky) good luck, sounds like tons of fun!
  5. A bunch of little diva teens and preteens in the woods...doesn't sound good. I suggest a backyard camping party. If the mosquitos get too bad or it's too hot/cold, the kids can come inside during the night.
  6. Check with your local county parks and recreation department as well as your state parks dept. Some parks have cabins for rent with cots in them, all you have to provide is sleeping bags and food. Check also with your local Boy Scout Council office. If it is in their 'off season', you might be able to take them to a Scout camp and either stay in tents or a cabin. There may be a small fee. At least there will be a camp ranger there for safety matters. Also check with your local YMCA or YWCA...they may have a site at one of their camps available for you to use.
