when camping in the winter, do you ever use just a tent.??...or are you strictly a camper or RV person.??

  1. Twenty years ago when I went camping it was always in a tent on the ground , no matter what time of year it was . Now I'm too old to camp { at least by back is } !
  2. a tent is only truely camping and getting close to years forgotten
  3. A tent and about 10 blankets. And I get dressed while still under them.
  4. naked in a sleeping bag with you in a tent!!!
  5. Well Brave, I'm in Texas...lol...(not the coldest winters, here, but cold enough) The deer lease has a cabin so no tents needed there. We "stay" on the pontoon, when weekend fishing, so no tents needed there... Most all that I go "camping with" have a 5th wheel or RV.. But! I have slept in the back of a pickup (while camping in the winter) and it was cold -- but lots of goose down and long johns, and alcohol got me through it, and I'd do it again! There's usually a nice campfire anyway...and there's always SOME that don't sleep (to watch it)...
