Good camping (campfire) recipes? Kabobs? Sides? Deserts? Fun snacks?

I would like to add more recipes to my list of campfire favorites. Please exclude smores, pie iron pies, chex mix... and carry into more interesting dishes. Thanks!

  1. Take a pillsbury pop n fresh biscut, the kind where you peel off the separate biscuits. Roll it into a cone. Wrap tinfoil around it. Let it cook on the fire. Then we usually fill the cone with honey or chocolate or cinnamon and sugar.
  2. If you know how to make cobbler, try making it over a fire in a Dutch oven. It's a lot better and it looks better too. I don't know the exact recipe, but you can find it any where online. Try the Peach!
  3. make spagetti before going and freeze the sauce when going cook noodles and heat up sauce and viola you got some spagetti
  4. Here is a great website with 100's of camping recipies!
  5. Here is a favorite of mine: Brown 1/2 lb of hamburger Add 1 diced bell pepper, 1 med onion (diced), and 5-6 cloves of garlic (minced). Salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste Cook until onions turn translucent Cool completely and seal in "seal a meal" bags On the trail reheat by placing bag in hot water Serve on tortillas. A great and easy dinner for the first night out.
  6. This is one recipie that I just LOVE! It is bizarre, but you should still try it! Ingredients: White Bread Dorrito Spicy Habanero or Frito-Lay BBQ Twists All you do is take one piece of bread, put whatever chips you got on top, then put another piece of bread on. Then you have to open your mouth, pick up the sandwich... If you use any other chips it probably won't taste too good. I've also used just one piece of bread and ate it like a hotdog, which isn't as messy.
