Does anyone have a fairly detailed camping checklist?

- Portable house, portable potty, personal chef, and bug repellant.
- not as yet!
- More info - motor-home camping, primitive, are you cooking or just eating whatever to get by? Camping with kids, pets? I'd say break it down into categories - "home" tent, air mattress or other bedding stuffs, portapotty if you prefer, flashlight(s) or lanterns...that kinda stuff. Then look at "kitchen/cooking items" - a Coleman stove or grate for open fire, firestarting stuff if needed, fry pan, cooking utensils, oil.....FOOD: pack just what you need but enough to get by, plenty of drinks and enough ice to last your camping stay. CLOTHES: you can't overprepare here! Expect to get too hot or too cold or wet, extra socks and layerable clothing or a little of everything is best. SLEEPING stuffs: sleeping bag and/or blankets, pillow. A neat trick I've learned when bathing facilities aren't available: those pre-moistened wet wipes and some baby powder make a decent clean-up for a few days, anyway. Stay away from strong smelling soaps and perfumes that attract bugs. Remember sunscreen and bug repellant, matches and extra tent stakes!!! Have fun.
