- Go To this website. Its clarence Faughnstock State camp grounds. Its really nice place. Right now theres about 4 inches of snow on ground. They have 2 big lakes that are really pretty. They Appalachian Trail Goes Right through it. There is alot of hiking trail which i consider nice. Never go during the summer everyone from the city goes. They say you cant camp there but you can. you just have to go to the ranger station and tell them that your going to stay at a spot. http://nysparks.state.ny.us/parks/info.asp?parkID=129
